Little Valley will trade for both lunch and dinner on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday over the upcoming long weekend.

Head Chef Jake Pregnell has worked with his team of Dim Sum chefs to create two limited edition menu items that coincide with the annual long weekend.

Pregnell says that although a lot of diners have moved past the tradition of only eating seafood on Good Friday, he wanted to honour that tradition with a dumpling that plays on the classic fish cake. This dumpling draws on south-east Asian flavours, marrying poached Mackerel with Kaffir Lime Leaf and Red Curry.

A second Dim Sum option is a visually-stunning Pumpkin Puff, where biting through the crunchy orange dumpling gives way to mouthfuls of delicious Black Pepper Beef and Mushroom.

Easter, like Christmas, is one of those rare opportunities for families to get together and share a meal. Pregnell recommends ordering the whole Salt & Pepper Baby Snapper; a new addition to the ‘Large’ plates on the Little Valley menu. It’s served with Sichuan Braised Onion and is a dish designed to be the centrepiece of a feast alongside a few small plates, sides and rice.
